About WomanKraft, Senator Paula Aboud says “They have built a community-friendly cultural enterprise that is a model of both creativity and stability, consistently empowering and inspiriing women artists for well over 30 years, a remarkable feat in such a transient society.”
“Art is my path, it's the language of my spirit with which I communicate. It's for me the greatest tool for healing, transformation and the creation of reality.“ Kati Astraeir
I feel that my jewelry serves as a tangible reminder, a talisman, or good luck charm. I want to inspire a life of joy, happiness, passion and a connection to nature. My artwork reflects a collage of experiences starting with my love of art as a child to the unending art, crafts, and jewelry classes I have enjoyed over the years. I am a graduate of the Institute of Jewelry training in Sacramento, CA and also certified with the Precious Metal Clay Guild, the Precious Metal Clay Connection and Art Clay World.
WomanKraft has given me the boldness to step outside my comfort zone and embrace art as a career choice. I am eclectic in my design process and use a variety of metals including 14k gold, silver, copper and bronze as well as paint, fabric, wood, organic and found objects in my jewelry and sculpture. My Tucson studio is my sanctuary, a place of thought and dreamy abstraction. In addition to creating there I love teaching group and private classes in Precious Metal Clay.
